Santo Pure Oia Suites & Villas, the sustainably minded and soulful luxury property in Santorini from Santo Collection, announces the unveiling of 20 new elegant and sophisticated suites. Designed by local Greek interior design studio Lab11, the new suites extend Santo Pure’s luxurious living to 83 suites and 2 villas, welcoming guests to settle in and experience feelings of space, serenity, pure relaxation, and privacy on the outskirts of Oia village.
Lab11’s design for the new suites combines natural elements and pigments including basaltic rock, ochre, volcanic ash, and white lime with solid wood accent features to create an authentically earthy interior feel. The elements create a harmonious and cohesive aesthetic that provides guests with a sense of unassuming luxury based on the principles of wabi-sabi that enable the unique experience of relaxation and rejuvenation.
The suites include a spacious open-plan living area, king size bed, and terraces to enjoy the incredible vistas. Guests can relax away from the crowds and marvel at Santorini’s famous sunsets from the privacy of their terraces. In Santorini’s volcanic soil, there’s an abundance of natural stones, colors, and textures, and each of these natural elements have been woven into the room. The 20 new suites form a new neighborhood at Santo Pure which includes a range of different suite categories, including a new suite category, the Exclusive Junior Suite Sunset & Sea View with Private Pool.
The new suites are just the most recent of many experiences for guests to enjoy through the season at Santo Pure. The resort recently welcomed Andreas Vegnopoulos as the new Head Chef of the award-winning fine-dining restaurant Alios Ilios following a 22-year career that has seen him dazzle diners at five-star hotels in Greece and across Europe. Alios Ilios’ menu features locally sourced seasonal ingredients, including from the resort’s own organic gardens, and curated degustation menus running 7, 9, or 11 courses.
There is also a world of wellness waiting at Santo Pure, with Anassa Spa recently honored as Greece’s Best Resort Spa 2022 by World Spa Awards for the sixth straight year. New for 2023, guests can take their wellbeing experience to the next level with a new Wellness Package with natural wellness inclusions to help enhance their sense of wellbeing. Guests can reconnect with nature, relax, and recharge with a combination of amenities available in their suites, specialized spa treatments, outdoor activities, and outdoor yoga before breath-taking views of the Aegean. A highlight of the package is a five-hour guided bicycle tour to the smaller, neighboring island of Thirassia, a peaceful, volcanic land with a population just over 150, where guests will explore multiple villages and Kimissis Monastery, known as “the balcony of the volcano,” and experience local life on Thirassia with stops at local bakeries and Mitato, an old winery serving local and Cretan delicacies, wine, raki, and more.
